In this segment of our projects that are dedicated to Santorinis culture, we get to meet the people that have made all this possible.
We get to become part of the inner circle of people who uphold the authentic character of the island. We join them in their simple moments and their inner jokes and we become part of the story of the island.
Going into this project, our goal was to document the traditional practices of Santorini. However, what we got was so much more. We became part of a pure community that is held together by their love for their homeland and eachother. We got to experience the joy that surrounds these meetings and we joined them with enthusiasm.
We hope to have done justice to these wonderful people and we appreciate the opportunity they gave us for a glimpse into their lives. It is our highest aspiration to be able to give back to the community that warmly welcomed us, through our photograps.
